ORIGINAL STORY:

You might want to sit down for this one.

The Weeknd, SZA and Travis Scott are apparently teaming up and working on a song together.

The Weeknd is rumoured to have recruited the Love Galore duo for a new track he’s putting together for the upcoming (and last) season of Game of Thrones.

With all respect to the Avengers, we’re going to have to say this is our new favourite supergroup.

No official confirmation from the artists or from the HBO smash hit, but some social media sleuths have been busy connecting the wires and collecting evidence that all point to an epic Weeknd x Westeros collaboration.

It’ll be interesting to see how a song from three of the world’s current biggest artists fits into the fictional, fantastical, pseudo-Medieval world of Westeros. We’ll have to wait to find out when GOT returns for its final season on April 14.

UPDATE:

Not only have we received official confirmation that songs exists and will be released to the world, we’ve also gotten a look at the impressive motley crew of artists set to appear on the soundtrack for GOT’s final season.

Joining The Weeknd, Travis and SZA will be A$AP Rocky, Chloe X Halle, Ellie Goulding, Jacob Banks, James Arthur, Joey BadA$$, Lennon Stella, Lil Peep, Maren Morris, Matthew Bellamy, Mumford & Sons, Rosalía feat. A.CHAL, The Lumineers, The National, Ty Dolla $ign, X Ambassadors.

From Spanish language pop star Rosalia, hip-hop maven A$AP Rocky, and indie favourites The National, there seems to be something on the soundtrack for pretty much every music taste.

For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones) drops April 26, with a pre-order available now. The soundtrack will also be released on vinyl with 11 different collectible covers.
