Starting way back in 2016, photography student Hajar Benjida – most commonly known as @youngthugaspaintings – created an Instagram account devoted to comparing photos of her favourite rapper, Young Thug, to personalities in classical paintings. What started off as a quick school project has now amounted to a full-blown 66.6k following and an official art exhibition.

 

Presented at none other than the hub of contemporary art, Miami’s Art Basel, Hjar brought some of the iconic art pieces that you can find on her Instagram for public viewing.

The showing attracted quite a few art-lovers and Thugger-lovers alike, as well as Young Thug himself who seemed to be pretty in awe of the whole concept.
