After releasing his critically acclaimed album IGOR this month, Tyler The Creator has officially topped the Billboard 200 charts for the first time in his career.

The new LP, which includes tracks like EARFQUAKE and WHAT’S GOOD, secured the spot with 165,000 equivalent album sales.

This figure includes 74,000 traditional copies sold and a whopping 122.9 million streams across all the popular platforms.

Tyler even scored the top spot with some steep competition in the form of DJ Khaled’s star-studded 12th studio album, Father of Asahd.

The achievement makes Tyler the first solo rapper to top the Billboard charts with an album written, produced and arranged by him.

The rapper’s 2017 release Flower Boy was agonisingly close to debuting at the top of the charts, losing out the #1 spot to Lana Del Rey’s Lust For Life by just 1,000 copies.

Tyler took to Twitter to share his emotions with his fans and admitted that he thought no would enjoy the album for a number of reasons. Fair to say he was very wrong with that one.
