A few years after the podcast Serial made the 2000 murder of Hae Min Lee the world’s true crime obsession, HBO is returning to the case with an upcoming documentary series.

The Case Against Adnan Syed follows the case after if exploded into the world’s consciousness following the release of Serial, leading to Adnan Syed being granted an as-of-yet unscheduled retrial in 2018. The show is even being billed as the “Next Chapter” in the case.

The HBO show also promises to re-examine the relationship between Adnan and Hae Min following Serial’s initial crack at the case. The series will feature first-person accounts and new interview with Adnan as well as his family and legal team.
