Another day, another outrageous and unnecessary Supreme lifestyle item.

I said to myself that I would never write a piece covering Supreme’s collaborations but the overpriced streetwear brand has just pushed me too far by releasing their first branded brick. Yes, you heard me correctly a clay fucking brick.

With the spring collection selling out in just under two minutes and five to 15 collaboration items dropping each week, all this hype is just getting outrageous.

So how many more things can they slap their logo on for the fuckbois of the world to wear and use?

Let’s just take a look at the brick.

A piece of harden red clay, embellished with a logo equivalent to a fuckboi identifier. At least now we’ll know where they live but is there a deeper meaning behind it?

No I don’t think so, it’s Supreme. A brand that our generation has put so high up on a pedestal that they could literally produce a lump of clay and it would sell out in seconds.

Yet the media has delved, once again, way too deep in order to block out the nonsensical shit they are covering.  Publications are stating that ‘to brick’ in streetwear slang is to put a god-awful outfit together. As if it is totally acceptable for Supreme to captalise on an overprice lump of clay if it has a metaphor behind it.

You know what I think the hidden meaning behind this brick is? That supreme are currently laughing in their NY offices that the kids of this generation will fork out for an overpriced brick and we are covering this as if it is news. So game well played, Supreme.
