The line between active wear and high fashion has been blurred for a while now, this still doesn’t mean it is acceptable to wear gym tights shopping (Bondi residents I’m looking at you) but it does produce some interesting new fashion lines that push what we are all too familiar with in the realm of fashion.

It is Lacoste’s creative take on these blurred lines with their new Olympic inspired line that combines all the best elements of 80’s farshion, the now popular dad style and a heavy influence from Rio itself; hello geometric shapes, bold colours, pleated pants and tucked in shirts.

Created by a brand that has deep roots in the sporting world with the founder, René Lacoste, winning 10 grand slams of tennis all while producing the clothing line on the side, it seems only a natural progression to feature an Olympic inspired line to bring it back to its origins. Shot by Darren Luk in Sydney, it makes us love it all the more.
