Former Mythbusters co-host and all around tech wizard, Adam Savage, has pulled off what may be his coolest stunt yet. Creating an incredible titanium Iron Man suit, capable of flying, just like Tony Stark’s. Working alongside engineers, builders and other creators, Savage was able to pull off the impressive DIY task over the span of a few months.

As Savage says, “I swear, if Tony f**king Stark was not fictional and he was making an Iron Man suit right now, this is precisely how he would do it and this is the exact technology he’d be using”.The suit was created for his new Discover Channel show, Savage Builds, and was constructed via 3-D Printing of actual titanium.

For keen Marvel fans, the final product most resembles Robert Downey Jr’s prototype that Tony Stark was working on in Iron Man 2. In order to get the Iron Man suit airborne, Savage recruited a UK startup called Stark Gravity Industries, to build the required jetpacks. The final product featured five, 1,000 horsepower mini jet engines to lift the titanium suit off the ground (reaching 4.5 metres !!!)

Whilst the suit still doesn’t feature a rocket launcher, flame throwers or a self-repair system, it’s still pretty damn impressive to create a bullet-proof, flying superhero suit in 2019. Future episodes of Savage Builds will feature the host creating a ‘Mad Max‘ car and a rocket propelled vehicle. Peep the full video below to see the full process behind the incredible Iron Man passion project.

Futurism at its finest! Flying cars next Adam, oh and maybe something with teleportation pls.

In more Superhero news, Disney has recently announced a Marvel Land expansion at their California Location.
