The best reason you’ve ever been given to head out to Liverpool (Western Sydney) is upon us this Saturday for the Liverpool Street Art Festival.

Often the words ‘Street’ and ‘Art’ together for a festival in 2016 conjure feelings of a contrived passé attempt at a cultural commercial success. But after excusing the Liverpool Council’s literal naming, this event looks worth the trip.

With artists who have undeniable talent, such as Mulga and Phibs , whose work can be seen sprawled across buildings and walls in Newtown, Bondi and the city, the 5 commissioned artists will be adding to their already painted murals in the carpark arena off Macquarie street.

The festival will feature market stalls, food trucks and live performances so sounds like a pretty good afternoon.
