The amazing team behind Keep Sydney Open have ensured over the past few weeks that we haven’t forgotten about the injustices that have happened to our city by the corrupt generation above.

With plaques going up around the cities fallen venues, commemorating the launch of artists who have undoubtedly put Sydney music on the world stage (Flight Facilities, Lorde, Rüfüs, just to name a small few), they’ve organised a second rally this Sunday.

For anyone who came along to the first rally, the impact that was made was real. People noticed, the baby boomers watched on from their multi-million dollar city apartments as 15,000 people marched through the streets, letting them know that they wouldn’t be silenced on these issues.

But most importantly, it was those in power who became well aware that their corrupt ways were very much in the limelight, and that we were all kinda over being taken advantage of.

With the predictably useless Callinan review offering little more than attempted appeasement for the unjust laws, Sunday’s attendance is essential to show that the half-an-hour extended lock out is not sufficient to bring Sydney’s music, nightlife, entertainment and culture back to what it was before its desecration.

Make sure you get down to Belmore Park out front of Central Station this Sunday at 12pm, with a welcomed challenge to outdo some of the great Baird placard signs of last time.
