What: Future, Young Thug Australia appearances

Lucky for those who are still reeling from Young Thug and Future‘s respectively waylaid Australia tours this year (us, basically), both Atlanta rap royalties are set to properly touch down in 2018.

 

Thugger was removed from the Laneway Festival bill by event organisers earlier this year. Despite the official release at the time attributing his absence due to “recent complications with the visa process”, Laneway co-founder Danny Rogers admitted shortly after in a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session that they themselves made the decision to pull the plug due to Thugger’s unreliability.

 

Future, on the other hand, headlined Listen Out in late September, but had to pull out of the Sydney and Brisbane legs of the festival tour due to the death of a close friend back home.

 

But fear not, Australia. We know where you can see them next year – and we repeat, this is not a fucking a drill.

 

Sydney City Limits Music Festival

Saturday 24 February, 2018 – Centennial Parklands, Sydney, Australia

 

 

Just when we thought our summer festival landscape had reached its pique with what feels like back-to-back announcements of huge international heavyweights to pull up Down Under, Sydney City Limits have added Future and Thugger to their debut festival bill.

 

Joining them are the likes of Justice, Beck, Vance Joy, Grace Jones and Gang Of Youths.

 

And good news for the groms – this is an all ages event.

In a huge win for the Sunshine State, both Future and Thugger make up for lost time by teaming up and heading to Brisbane for a massive outdoor show.

 

After finally quashing an iconic Twitter beef a couple of years ago, SUPER SLIMEY was born – the fire mixtape full of all the hallmarks expect from each of them during the peak of their powers. To hear and watch it live… our bodies are not fucking ready.

 

Joining the pair will be special guests, Tkay Maidza and B Wise.
