Artists are clearly no stranger to embracing their enhanced ‘open mindedness’ whilst under the influence to innovate.

 

Back in the 1950s, Oscar Janiger, a University of California-Irvine psychiatrist (who was known for his work on acid) gave an artist an box full of crayons and asked him to draw his portrait 9 times whilst under the influence of acid.
