Rapper Lil Wayne, one of the most talented artists of our generation, has proven even he isn’t good at everything when he appeared and lost on the singing contest show, The Masked Singer.

The Masked Singer, adapted from the Korean show by the same name, brings on celebrities to dress up in ridiculous costumes and sing to a panel of judges. They have to guess who’s under the mask before the costumed singer reveals their identity as they’re eliminated. In the show’s third season premiere, the first singer to be unmasked was none other than Tunechi himself.

Wayne, dressed up as a robot, sang a rendition of Lenny Kravitz‘s 1993 hit “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, and even though he covered his face, he didn’t cover his voice. At all. But somehow the judges didn’t pick up any hint that it was him, taking guesses that the robot might have been Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Floyd Mayweather, Shaun White, and Flavour Flav. One of the judges was Robin Thicke, who has worked with Wayne a numerous amount of times. The other judges included Nicole Scherzinger and Jamie Foxx, who have both also collaborated with Wayne, yet none of them could tell it was him.

Unfortunately, the robot received the least amount of votes from the audience, so this is the last we’ll see of Weezy and the glorious robot costume. When asked why he picked a robot, he explained it was for his kids, before exiting.

Wayne’s appearance on the show comes hot off the drop of his latest album Funeral. The project, which took four years to put together, consists of 24 tracks and includes features from 2 Chainz, Lil Baby, Takeoff, Jay Rock, Big Sean, the late XXXTentacion and more.

Speaking of masks, Future, the genius behind the banger “Mask Off” linked up with long time collaborator Drake last month for their track “Life Is Good”.
